Biography of Frank Warren Hibbs
Frank Warren Hibbs matriculated at the University in 1890, aged 21, to study naval Architecture.
He was born at Bristol, USA, son of D R P Hibbs, a banker at Minnesota.
Hibbs was ammitted to the United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, in 1883. He then came to the University of Glasgow in 1890 for two years, taking classes in Natural Philisophy, Naval Architecture, Ship Drawing, Physics Laboratory and Marine Engineering.
