Biography of Arnold Schilbach
Arnold Schilbach enrolled in the University of Glasgow in 1908. He joined the Arts faculty and studied Practical Economics.
Schilbach was born in Greiz, Germany, on 3 February 1889.
After his time in Glasgow, Schilbach worked at his father's wool factory, Schilbach & Co, Wollweberei, and also took part in the First World War, having married in Dresden shortly before its outbreak on 20 June 1914.
On New Year's Eve, 1947, Schilbach was declared dead, having died at some point in a Russian prison.
