Biography of John McIlraith
John McIlraith matriculated at the University in 1843. He was born on 12 August 1818, the second son of Hugh, a magistrate of Airdrie.
McIlraith became a minister, and served at Gourock, 1850 to 1852; at Berbice, West Indies, 1852-1853; at Greenhead, Glasgow 1853-1854; at Amsterdam 1854-1871; and at Erskine 1871-1892. He died there on 10 October 1892.
