Biography of Alexander Stevenson
Alexander Stevenson matriculated at the University in 1823, taking a Latin class, He was the fifth son of William, a barber of Campsie.
Stevenson became Minister of St Luke’s, British Guiana from 1837 to 1840; All Saints, Berbice from 1840 to 1844; and the Parish of Ruthwell, from 1844 until his death on 3 September 1858, aged 49.
