Biography of David Arthur
David Arthur matriculated at the University in 1828 to study Arts. He was the third son of James, a farmer in Ayr.
Arthur became the Minister of the Free Church of Stewarton from 1843 to 1851. He was then appointed first minister of the Belize Presbyterian Church, in the then British Honduras, from 1851 to 1876. He died at 69 South Hall Park, Hampstead, London, on 18 March 1888, aged 75.
