Biography of Augustus Yearwood
Augustus Yearwood was the eldest son of Richard, a crafstman of Demerara, modern day Guyana. He matriculated at the University in 1824 as an Arts student, taking a class in Greek. During his time at the University he was awarded the prize for Exemplary Eminence throughout the session.
