Biography of James Clydesdale Walker
James Clydesdale Walker attended the University of Glasgow from 1877 until 1883. He was born at Sydney, Australia, son of James, a bonnet maker and from 1882 a soldier.
He first enrolled at the University in 1877, aged 20, to study an Arts course, taking classes in Moral Philosophy and English Literature (1880). In 1882 he switched to study Law, attending classes over two years in in Public Law, Mathematics, Conveyancing, Political Economy, and Civil Law.
