Biography of James Fleming Goodchild
James Fleming Goodchild was a Canadian born medical student who studied at the University between 1900-1902.
Goodchild was born in Craigleit, Gray County, Ontario and was the son of farmer, Joseph Goodchild. He graduated from Queen's University, Ontario, in 1899. He continued his medical studies in the UK, and he came to study at Glasgow, aged 27, where he studied Surgery (summer 1900), Pathology and Clinical Medicine (1901), and Ear, Nose and Throat (1902). He graduated BSc in Public Health from Edinburgh and was Member and Licentiate of the Royal College of Surgeons in the UK.
Dr Goodchild died in Toronto on the 27 April 1934.
