Alexander Stevenson Barbados

Biography of Alexander Stevenson

Alexander Stevenson matriculated at the University of Glasgow in 1745.

He was born in Barbados, son of Thomas Stevenson (Stephenson), Provost Marshal of Barbados and owner of Pool plantation at St John Parish, who as a keen astronomer reported on his sightings and observations of Halley's Comet in 1758.
