Biography of James Riddell
James Riddell graduated MA from the University in 1932. He was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba to clerk Robert Park Riddell in September 1912.
Riddell enrolled at the University of Glasgow in 1929 at the age of 17, attending classes in Latin, History, Englisg, Political Economy, Moral Philosophy, Consitutional and Civic Law, Jurisprudence, Forensic Medicine, Evidence and Proc. Riddell received the Carnegie Trust Grant from 1930-32 as well as multiple class prizes. Upon graduation in 1932, he remained in Glasgow where he worked initially as a law clerk. He passed away in 1977, aged 67.
