Biography of John Black McNaught Runciman

John Black McNaught Runciman was born in Singapore, son of William, a minister. He enrolled at the University in 1929 to study Medicine, graduating MB ChB in 1934 and DPH in 1938. He began his medical career as a junior assistant superintendent at Mearnskirk Hospital.
