Biography of Jean Duncan McMurray
Jean Duncan McMurray graduated MB ChB from the University in 1923 and DPH in 1926. She was born in Singapore, daughter of William, a civil engineer. MacMurray enrolled at the University in 1917 to study Medicine over a period of seven years.
She married Reverend George McInnes Allison MA, Minister at Newmilns, Ayrshire in Glasgow in 1932.
Jean Duncan Allison practiced as assistant surgeon at the Glasgow Eye Infirmary, before opening a private practice in Edinburgh.
