Biography of Godwin Aunko Ederme Ikomi

Godwin Aunko Ederme Ikomi was born in Sapele, Nigeria, son of Edenma, a businessman. Godwin matriculated at the University in 1945, aged 23 to study Medicine. He graduated MB ChB in 1950.

Dr Ikomi returned to Nigeria, becoming a fellow of the West Africa College of Surgeons in 1964 in the faculty of Surgery. He was also part of the Planning Committee that established an Institute of Technology in Benin for Science, Engineering, and Medicine and Pharmacy in 1970.
