Biography of Władysław Kolasa
Władysław Kolasa enrolled at the University for one year in session 1942-1943, at the age of 48. He took classes in Mathematics, Natural Philosophy and Chemistry.
Kolasa, who was born in Kraków, son of Andrew, a carpenter, came to Glasgow as an Officer in the Polish Army. His daughter, Maria, also enrolled at the University in 1940, aged 18, and went on to graduate BSc (1946) and PhD (1949).
