Biography of Neil McDougall

Neil McDougall graduated MBChB from the University in 1904.

He was born in Glasgow, son of John, a music teacher. The family moved to Auckland, New Zealand in 1893, where McDougall returned upon graduation.

He was was one of the first physicians in New Zealand to specialise in radiology. He worked in the Auckland Hospital for 25 years, and was a life member of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Radiology, as well as one of the first two New Zealand radiologists to be admitted to the Fellowship of the British Association of Radiologists.
