Biography of James Buchanan McIsaac

James Buchanan McIsaac graduated MA from the University of Glasgow in 1867, followed a year later by his brother, Colin, who graduated MA in 1868.

James was born at Lochiel, Glengarry County, Ontario, son of John McIsaac.

McIssac was a probationer of the Church of Scotland from 1868-75; assistant headmaster at Bishop Storford, Hertfordshire, from 1875-82; and headaster at the High School for Boys, Bury, Lancashire from 1883.
