Biography of William Robert Logan
Major William Robert Logan of the RAMC was born in Stenhousemuir and graduated from the University MB ChB in 1930. He became Assistant Physician at Aberdeen Royal Mental Hospital before moving to Singapore as Assistant Medical Superintendent of the Mental Hospital there. After Singapore's surrender in 1942, 800 civilian casualties were transferred to the Mental Hospital which became the Japanese Civilian and Military Hospital. Logan died on 15 February 1942.
