Biography of Edwin Stewart Lawrie

Edwin Stewart Lawrie was born in Glasgow and graduated from the University MB ChB in 1924. He was a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (1937) and a Fellow of the Royal Faculty of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (1937). He became a surgeon at the General Hospital in Penang before the Second World War.

Lawrie died at Changi Internment Camp in Singapore on 21 August 1943.
