Biography of Donald Ferguson Irvine

Lieutenant Donald Ferguson Irvine, RAMC, was born in Glasgow and studied at the University, graduating MB ChB in 1933 and gaining a Diploma in Public Health. He was Resident Medical Officer at Clayponds Isolation Hospital in Ealing and was appointed Assistant Medical Officer of Health for the Borough of Ealing, before he joined the Malayan Medical Service and moved to Taiping as Health Officer.

Irvine died on 15 February 1942, the day that Singapore surrendered to the Japanese.
