This brochure advertised winter tours on board the Ellerman Lines ship SS City of Nagpur. The ship was built by Workman, Clark & Co. of Belfast, in 1922 and was sunk off Valentia Island in south-west Ireland in 1941. The brochure cover was designed by [check...].

Ellerman Lines Ltd emerged in 1902 froman existing Liverpool-based firm originally incoporated in 1892 by John Reeves Ellerman, Christopher Furness and Henry O'Hagan. In 1901 the firm absorbed Hall Lines and City Lines which ran passenger and cargo services to Africa and Asia. By the 1920s several other shipping lines had been acquired by Ellermans, which had by then established headquarters in Glasgow and London.
