Welcome to the International Story website. Our story opens with an international charter sent from Rome in 1451. Pope Nicholas V decreed that Glasgow was to serve Scotland and “the other parts neighbouring thereto”. Our neighbourhood is now global, and over the intervening centuries we have changed lives on every continent; new schools and Universities have been established across the globe and our research has contributed to innovative technologies and therapies as well as economic change and cultural enrichment world wide. This website is a focus for us to share these stories.

With hundreds of new international students joining us annually the story continues. If you have an interesting story to share, we encourage you to get in touch.
