Biography of James Pattison

James Pattison enrolled at the University of Glasgow in 1862, aged 17, shortly after his brother, Alexander.

Pattison was born in New York, son of a merchant by the same name, whose company was Pattison & Co, commission merchants based in Glasgow, New York, and Manchester.

Pattison attended classes in Logic, Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry in the academic year 1862-63.
